The annoying thing was, I was following a 'professional tipsters' systems as they would be 'proven'. Mine was only a concept. I ran out of patience about the same time as I ran out of betting bank! Then back to "proper" work took up time etc... you know how it is. But I am making time for it again now.

I wanted to see if it was as good as its early promise. Then (2002) it was achieving 65%. So running about the same as now. But I think these things need testing over a good deal of time to see if they really stand the test.

A negative is the weight. Only carrying 1lb more than he won with 2 runs ago, but not convinced it was genuine. Anyway, for completeness, it is a system bet.

Just in case anyone is reading this other than me ( ) and you were wondering about the system 'rules'... the system is built on some of the ideas of the Van der Wheil method.

And they said it would never catch on.

It does not use the ability rating or the 'best races of the day'. But many other ideas are taken on board like consistency, class judgement, fitness, jockey, etc.

Early days... but I am pleased with the results so far. I have written a results summary about half-way down the first page, which I will keep updated.

I am following this thread. Yes good results so far. I have read where you should give a system 100 selections before you decide to carry on or not. This can be very difficult when you hit a losing run. I know from experience.

Almah 1.84 and Fast Mix 1.89 (call 'em 4/5)
As I bet them, I will add them to results, although they both went off at 4/7, too short.
