CONGRATULATIONS MAX

Well done my friend, but i must admit you have baffled me aswell as many others, those selections throw my right off the scent, but well done. You are the envy of many espeically me, but i'll keep trying and one day will get it sorted.

Right i've been over the cards for both lingfield and nottingham, which again took me about 5 hours and i've come up with the same as yesterday
ZILCH ZERO NIL.

Max without tweaking the rules as you know how to do in you favour, is it because it's the beginning of the flat that there is a lack of bets or just because we are sticking to them too rigidly.

The only thing that came to light after doing all the filters and PV tables, was that TYPE ONE in the 3.30 LING look's a good bet, but you will of probably seen something that i haven't, to shoot that idea down.

Can i firstly mention yet again what a fantastic job you are doing for all the members who want to follow your methods.
I understand what you mean when you say you feel like pulling your hair out, been there already, more than once, but believe me Max i think all this work you are putting in for us all is incredible and i'll keep bashing away because I DO WANT THAT DREAM.

Regarding your above posting and all the raw selections, thank's for putting those up i'll try and give them the once over now, as ive got a late start this morning. But can you answer me one question;
How did you come to this list?

the above list is derived from the top trainer/jockey (min 10%) box, next to the race that you are looking at- top trainer/jockey boxes just click on.
remember the other day you posted me to say that you had found the boxes and now you only had 4 runners to look at instead of 14.
the next step to reduce even further would be to look at trainer form and discount those that do not pass rule,be careful on the turf though because a lot of the trainers will not have hardly had any runners for the last 6 months,do not disgard them just because of this,at the same time though do discount them if they have been running their horses on the a/w without any success.

Cheer's mate, just been looking over my notes from last night and as regards a couple of the above i've got;

LING 2.30
WAIT FOR THE WILL 256 does not pass the filters
ROUTE BARREE 195 does not pass the filters
GUARDED SECRET 81 does PASS the filters
WOODHILL FOLLY 164 does PASS the filters

LING 3.30
PADDYWACK 60 does PASS the filters
TYPE ONE 800 does PASS the filters
MADRASEE 70 does not pass the filters
LAUREL DAWN 80 does not pass the filters
DOUBLE M 10 does not pass the filters

Thanks for the above post i've just learned a little more. As i know how to do the Master list as stated above, and from that list then if nothing qualify's then look at the ones that just miss and there's your winners.
It's wonderful when the penny drops.

Regarding your master lists for trainer/jockey for the last 5 years,
for J FORTUNE he scores 5/29=17% in 3y0
but in 4y0+ he scores 4/51=8% but overall he scores 10%.
From this i take it you are using the overall score?

kis yes overall
florence when i put up the master list i knew you or kis would pick up on dow,its just a preference of mine because i round up,always like to give the benefit of the doubt.you are obviously quite correct but .79% is neither here nor there.
yes today i will be having a go,i have gone through everything and i have 2 official bets today.i am going off to nottingham today to back king priam as i think he will run into a place at least the likely danger i think is cut rate.i also think northern desert will win the opener and solomans mine e/w in the 3.40 looks good.also over at catterick middlethorpe has a good chance if staying the extra two furlongs, the likely danger inch perfect does not interest me amongst other things 7yo do not do well in this type of event.i must stress though that the above are not official bets and any of them that i do back will come out of my secondary "fun" bank.the two official bets are as follows-
guarded secret/wait for the will 50/50 -i know the last named does not pass all the way but i still think its between these two.
diamond dagger/conundrum 60/40

i was tempted to back paddywhack/double m but the draw does put me off a little so i deceided to leave it alone.

good luck to all.

diamond dagger/conundrum - these were not in your master list from where any bets would come. did I miss something ??

You`ve got a lot of patience mate, I hope I`m not going test it to far. I`ve got a lot of ?s but if you could comment on the following it will go a long way to my better understanding.

2:30 Ling WODHILL FOLLY (one of your master list horses) the trainer,H Collingridge passes the 5 yr stats with 11/105 = 10%. But in the 2002 season he`s 1/26 = 3%. It looks to me that this trainer isn`t as good as he was. Am I wrong in thinking that 26 runs is a big enough sample or do you religiously just go for the 5yr stats regardless.

Yours

Me again

Max,

Like most, I read everybodies Q/A to grasp the big picture. Today, FLO asked about 2:30 Ling and the trainer S.Dow with 5 yr fig`s of 14/152. It threw me in a flat spin.

The 14/152 = 9:2% are 5yr stats for 4yo+ (pass)

The 5 yr overall is 19/238 = 7% (not pass)

2002 overall is 6/40 = 15% (V good pass)

2002 4yo+ = 6/36 = 17% (V good pass)

3 of these stats pass the master list, one doesn`t, which one should we be looking at?

A supplementary ?

Would I be right/wrong in thinking that in this race (2:30 Ling) although there are no horses less than 4yo it is in fact an all age race and not a 4yo+ ?

Thanks again

Three legs that WAS hilarious LOL.

Flo has e-mailed me and it turns out he is really REGGIE. Florence is his wife's name. He has said it is OK to reveal this (he was tired of wearing his wifes dresses everyday anyway, and she went mental when he came home with a tear in one)
