i thought i had a very good understanding of van der wheil and his methods but after reading some of the posts on here it is obvious i have a long way to go.
Am i right to believe that all van der wheils selections contain a certain trait that runs through there form.

Any old fool can tell by the way that Lee puts his e mails that he has gained the neccessary knowlegde that is required to gain that minimum of 80% winners.I am just sad that he does not post on here more often and the fact that he doesnt is probably down to negative comments like yours.

We have this Snow Knight with his 80%+ strike rate yet nothing of any value to contribute, compare that with an out of the closset herpetologist like Investor unable to resist posting daily all manner of enlightening, umm(?) and I have to assume Investor has a strike rate over 150%. Sad to say but as an experiment in psychotherapy the 80% challenge thread seems to have been a failure or to have provided at best remission.

As there are over a hundred named VDW horses and if they all boasted a common factor I am sure it would have been found in a question of minutes rather than years.

As you already achieve 80% strike rates, firstly you neither need to know its details nor secondly should you believe in its existance.
