Swish - Well done on your successfull book in the Golden Mile. I didn't bet in the race though I did rate Smirk as coming from the race with the best balance of class and form, without reference to speed figures. The same process did provide me with a nice winner in Nayyir at 9/2 who had far better real form than the favourite.
KG '85 - I think the point is being missed. Wayward Lad was the class/form horse, it doesn't matter that he was marginally behind a fresh BHL at Chepstow following a bad experience when odds on at Haydock. |

Would VDW have ever given the Stewards Cup a second look ?
It may be a fruitful race tomorrow ! For what`s its worth and yes it is after the race so no doubt someone will have a pop but I can take it. Nayyir looked good to me but unlike you I didn`t invest. Good night all you late birds, |

Have a pop at it.............seemed like a perfectly reasonable question to me.
1. It wasn`t lost in an in-decypherable code. 2. It was more than likely asked using the whole mouth rather than just a corner. 3. Although it was addressed to Guest the postee didn`t give the impression he was desperate to vanish up Guest`s nether regions (Barney got there first anyway, and he`s fighting his corner from there). 4. Seems like he`s a sensible chap and gone to bed early (healthy life style). |

It appears that you and 111 have been having some words again, to tell you the truth I don’t give a shit. I’ll back 111 as a person any day of the week. Until now you have done nothing for this forum apart from cause aggravation. Running of at the mouth and showing your distinct lack of racing knowledge not to mention your lack of knowledge of the English language and Mathematics. Your posts are annoying not only because of the content but also because of the spelling and grammar suitable only from a ten year old. In other words Barney you are as thick as the proverbial shite. If you keep treating people with as much disdain and contempt as you do, then all I can say is you must keep some pretty sad company. I respect 111 and I consider your very existence pathetic.
Keep driving the van loser and go screw yourself. |

Jimmy, you should express yourself more clearly otherwise people might not understand what you are trying to say. JIB.

I've found in the past John that when you are dealing with morons you've got to spell it out. Barney is the perfect example, no brains, no balls, no money. A whinging little nobody who dreams of giving up work and betting for a living but it's all dreams. He's tried in the past but made an arse of it dutching favourites and now does not have the balls to do anything worth while. A typical loser. Been nowhere, done nothing, never even got the T-shirt. Sad really.

Ability ratings wise it looks a very ordinary race this. That said, identifying the winner will be as difficult as usually or will it ?
Forgetting the betting f/c. Ability ratings from the top, 281 Artie rating based on his York win when 25/1. Many factors against. 138 Awake rating based on his Ireland win. Many factors against. 113 Halmahera has to be respected given his record in these big hcaps. Cannot beat Border Subject. 103 Ellens Lad back to form last time but not in much class. Factors against. 102 Undeterred many factors against. 91 Border Subject consistent, ran in high class last time showing improved form, proven weight carrier in high class, in peak condition, down in class today, draw will NOT be a problem as sufficient pace low. PROBABLE WINNER. REST OF THE OPPOSITION - I have to respect Hurricane Floyd on some of his 2001 form. Without doubt well h`capped but does his form this season stand up in comparison to BS ? For me the biggest danger to BS has to be Brevity and he`ll be backed along with BS ? Cheers, |

At face value both Where and When & Quarter Moon look to be VDW good things but as we all know it is never that easy is it ?
Back to Border Subject - a Roushayd ? Cheers, |

determined,
the horse has performed well enough on this type of track. Ascot however suited that big weight, not sure if it will here though |

Barney, now I understand! What a fool I`ve been, I was looking above the waist line for the answer to your claim that "I hang around with a guy who wears a dress/skirt"
I don`t have a drop of Scottish blood so your insult is completely lost on me, however I do have a respect for another country`s national dress whatever it is. Far from having any effect on me your wild blunderbus insult will have fallen at the feet of many worthy contributors both on this thread and the rest of Gummy`s board not to mention the Scots as a nation. You may not like me and I ask for no quarter but if you have any last claim to being a man yourself you should without delay issue an unreserved apology to the Scottish board members for your wholely inappropriate and offensive remark concerning their national dress. 111 . |

I think BS has speed to burn added to his touch of class. No problem other than Brevity who will thrive on this track.
Any thoughts on the Nassau Stks, ie - why should Islington beat Quarter Moon ? In my opinion QM over this shorter trip on decent ground will show an improved performance. They want that Group 1 win against her name. On the book QM has the form whereas Islington has not ( as yet ). With regards Islington, many past winners of todays race flopped in the Oaks. Added to that M. Stoute knows how to win this race and he is a genius. To be honest I am having difficulty discarding Islington but on all know form she cannot beat QM ? Cheers, |

determined i have islington as likely to reverse placings and win.but QM has other positives which cant be ignored.

Barney,
In my opinion in the hussle and bussle of todays race he`ll struggle, ie - he`s a tricky ride and likes to have things go his own way. If I`m going to be blunt, I think the horse is `soft` in a finish. I had a decent bet on him at York last year when he should have won. I`ve watched him closely since. If you have a recording of his last run watch the race again. No doubt he`ll make me eat my words later on. Cheers, |

nothing can be guaranteed in this race
so i wouldn't put too much store by it anyway. |

I assume that you haven`t seen the particular style of kilt wearing by any of the guys "I hang out with". That being the case and with no forthcoming apology your insult stands. 111 . |

i personally wouldn,t say B.S is a roushard,it could be used as a crosscheck if it were to be wagered it would be using the consistency method,an observation not a criticism, good luck if you play today..
