Racing Post Chase

Ability

Chicuelo 185
Katarino 185
Maximise 123
Gunther McBride 122

Consistency

La Landiere
Chicuelo
Ryalux
Bold Investor
Montreal

Marked Cards

Exit To Wave
Ryalux
Bold Investor

I think Ryalux has been got by the weights, upped 8lbs for his latest 2nd place

On the other hand Maximise seems to be very well off.

I think Katarino and Gunther McBride are both out of form.

Bold Investor and La Landiere are outclassed.

I am left with

Chicuelo
Exit To Wave
Maximise

My three against the field at present

Thanks for your discussion. I wondered whether I had read and understood what was there.

Thanks to Fulham I have added Gala Sunday to the list.

we obviously typed at roughly the same time. My comments were not aimed at you, but to Investor as he obviously realises by his reply.

INVESTOR
Where do I find this 3+ business?

3 legs
Glad you like "shove it"!!!!!!!!!!

BARNEY
Thanks for compliment.
I don't look in on the board as much now but I noticed you got SPIRIT LEADER recently.
Can't knock you for that. Damn good pick.

GRUNDY
I use Racing Post figures. Thate Raceform is allright but half the time it doesn't work and loads up some old races from yonks ago.

JOHND
The fav in the BLUSHING PRINCE race, STING LIKE A BEE had never performed on AW so I rule it out. BLUSHING PRINCE HAD BEST SPEED FIGS on course dis and going. Both recent form and much stronger on old form.
If you looked at its career form you could see that runs in D and E hcps then is dropped to G sellers to collect. That's the gist of it,
Cheers

Blushing Prince

Key Race 26 December stayed on one pace didn’t show a great deal judging by the comment.
Class of race based on OR’s roughly 76
Highest OR of the opposition in seller before any elimination 64 ( Sting Like Bee) you eliminated him so whats left 44 and going down (Donkeys)
I can see why he won by 6 lengths
Pity he didn’t show a bit more beforehand

I see looking at Raceform that he was won his last 3 races of a mark of 67???

I will set my database up later to see what the deeper picture looks like regarding the Key Race

All aftertime I know but interesting

Thanks for that, particularly the last paragraph, very informative.

AROWSON
I have Fondmort with an a/r of 190.

Well done with your letter to Sports Forum, hopefully it wil re-kindle enough interest to make the paper worth buying again. Unfortunately it seems to have netted another 'psued' who wishes to parade his 'knowledge' after the race. In this case it backfired on him, because not only did it lead to VDW being discredited, it also left a certain 'Dr Bacon' with 'egg on his face'.
I think I may be developing a soft spot for Graham Wheldon.

One can never be sure, of course, but it would be my working assumption that anyone who refers to a past winner of the kind named in the Racing Update letter to which you refer would readily be able to prove he (or she) had backed it. Perhaps you should write a letter demanding proof?

I agree with what you say regarding Aftertiming But

Isnt that exactly what VDW did?

If you believe all that VDW wrote
Why not Fulham

Why do you feel that participants on this thread have anything to prove,You once boasted 10/12 why not show us another such run.If yourKnowledge of vdw is being transferred to the tipping challenge,I hope you have a large tank. Smile

Swish,

That Cedar Green was interesting.Back to a winning mark and back to the very circumstances it got it's best sf at. Was it only a small bet because you weren't sure of its fitness or weren't you sure if it was in form?

Racing Post Chase, good idea, will have a look at this one for weekend.
Good racing seems to be at a minimum now as we await the best meeting of all.
Wife says I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas.
See you soon, Mike.

No problem mate,I will use the daily mail the same as delboy,What you must remember is the selections are based on a system. And no form will be taken into consideration.if i did this we could go 3 or 4 days without a bet,If there's a principal meeting tomorrow i will start a new thread just for you my friend

Incidently keep your eyes peeled for a thread called WAR HORSES,This is probably the best method iv'e come up with yet. Smile

I had missed off Fondmorts last win.

Surely the winner is 132% certain to come from

1111 La Landiere
11P1 Chicuelo
11-1 Coole Spirit
11/1 Scrahan Cross

I'll take Chicuelo from those

In answer to your question, both!
Although I often look for horses that obtained their best run/sf over same course and distance and going if poss, obviously I pick losers too so I aren't always sure

In general I don't use OR's atall in non-hcps. Perhaps I am wrong to do this, but when I go into investigation of any type of figures I do it very thouroughly. Well, some years ago when I investigated top OR's in non-hcps I could not make it pay no matter how I tried. Of course I didn't have a computer in those days so perhaps I should re-investigate.
Do yourself or others find OR's fruitful in non-hcps?
Cheers
