Fulham doesn't even control where he lives, if his life is a gamble at such a basic level how can he possibly exemplify the VDW edict to not let any element of a gamble creep in? So, shit spittingly obviously, Fulham is not espousing the methodology of VDW.

Investor,

You really are dim. Once again, just for you I admit it, that`s where we differ.

You`ll have to read between the lines for the rest of the message.

Investor,

Could I ask you for a few examples of the good things that have been running lately?
I have only managed to find one bet in the last week, it lost. I know I look for better prices than you, but to be honest even the shorter priced horses haven't appealed. I couldn't find one horse I even short listed today. I would be very grateful as I must be missing something.

Epi,

Fulham is away for a few days over the holiday, and Guest told us what was happening as far as he was concerned. A pity that, as no one seems able to take up the mantle, and give us any examples of VDW at work.

All,

Is it just me, have any of you found good VDW examples this week? Win, or lose. I am more than happy to look at any example that you think is/was a VDW horse. I mentioned a few at Goodwood, that I wouldn't back because of the prices. Any thoughts on them, did you make them selections? Now Guest has stopped posting wouldn't now be a good time to express your thoughts on were/how Guest was wrong. (If he was)

Be Lucky

How can you possibly expect investor to read between the lines? The moron can't even read the lines never mind between them. He has fallen into the ways of lots of VDW followers. He has tried for a few years to make racing pay, including using dodgy tipsters like raceman, who conned the gullible fool, and now he is so desperate to appear knowledgeable he reads VDW and immediately starts posting after the event to try and convince everyone he can pick more than his nose.
I’ve said before that this is one of the problems with VDW, not the writings themselves, but the people it attracts. Obviously not all followers are like this. You also have people like Mtoto who appear to look on it as a puzzle to be solved, and there are others like Guest, (he who has been resurrected more times than the phoenix), who has spent years studying the work and now manages to make as much as someone who spends about thirty quid on a Clive Holt book and takes a couple of hours to read it. Most of these people I have no problem with, the Mtotos of this world I respect, I like a good puzzle myself, the pompous prats like Guest I treat with ignore. It is the investors who drag VDW down to the level of bullshit. Lying little boys who can’t play with the grownups so give free rein to their puerile imagination and are so immature they don’t realise when they have been found out and continue to dig themselves deeper and deeper into the mire. All they can do is talk a good game, not one of them can walk the talk.

Non VDW fan to VDW fan:
How valuable do you think the draw is?

VDW fan: The draw?

Non VDW fan: Yes, the draw. Do you think it makes a great deal of difference to the result?

VDW fan: Well of course it does

Non VDW fan: You mean only at certain racecourses and certain distances?

VDW fan: No the draw is vital in each and every race one looks at.

Non VDW fan: What? Every single race you look at?

VDW fan: Yeahhhhhhhhh......that's where I keep my VDW books..IN THE DRAW!!!

See what you have done now Jimmy. I shall get tons of abuse for my joke and it is ALL your fault COMPLETELY!

I shall wake up tomorrow sober, (well soberish) and think OH GOd, what did I say last night?

Cheers

Must go now, I have to bet all night on Australian racing

MTOTO,

Time constraints always limit me to full and thorough evaluations most of the time but to answer your question of whether there have been any VDW type bets recently ( bare in mind my VDW type bets might not be exactly what the man was looking for ) in my opinion the answer is no.

I have not placed a bet since backing Barolo e/w last weekend.

I put 2 up on the tipping thread yesterday, both are still trying to find the winning post but luckily none of my hard earned monies was lost.

Ability rating - not a bad day for the rating if takien in isolation, ie -

Indian Spark & Now Look Here were 2nd & 3rd rated

Albanova - clear 1st rated

Turtle Valley - clear 1st rated

Mine - clear 1st rated.

The one horse I considered a good bet yesterday was PAGAN DANCE ( 4.10 Kempton ) but 3/1 was the minimum prices I`d be prepared to take and it was never available.

**** some very strange results yesterday but a potential champion was in evidence namely Kalaman.

Off to watch the video of yesterdays racing as every race has a story to tell.

Cheers,

What's the point of giving examples our interpretation differs therefore there will always be counter arguements.I must be quiet honest with you i found it difficult yesterday,Dtermined has mentioned some horses, the two that took my eye were Albanova and kalaman,I also thought Peruvian Chief had good claims but i didn,t play on any of them.I had 3 bets in the week wether they were full blown vdw i would say not,But they were found using the methods as I understand them,They also happened to be on the same day.22nd may BOBAYARO,LAOUEN and STRONG FLOW. Smile

Investor,

I agree that Albanova was the absolute class horse and if one could be certain she`d act in the heavy ground then those who play odds on would have filled their boots.

With regards P.Chief, a very good run at Beverley from a bad draw last time but in my opinion it would have been a brave call to back against F.Wane and B.Castle.

F.Wane had to be 1st on class/form but not a bet for me because in my opinion and I was right on this occasion the sharp 5 fur`s would be against him.

B.Castle, can run well fresh but I wasn`t sure how to view this one ( hence conflict ).

Also, the Charlton 3yo was a worry for me hence a no bet race.

One thing is for sure, P.Chief is in the form of his life but he`s been very busy of late and whilst this would be his best run to date he maybe one to careful about in future engagements.

Bye now, bloody garden needs my attention.

Cheers,

I totally agree with your comments regarding funfair wane,Because this was a 5f race i didn't really give it the time it deserved,But i can't help wondering if a book should have been made.P.C only went down by a length giving weight running with the same weight in this particular race hmmmmmm.
