Hi Imp
also the 100% refers to the best pm*prize last time out. so if a bigger fig is befotre it 230% then is the horse improving? its hard to make all the figs neat and easy in a table but if you look itsall there.

    Well Said Gilly!
As it looks that the 'missing link' is about mundane old finishing distances, you might well end up with a lot of people agreeing with you.

Crow Wood 4.15 Haydock today.

Carried 12 lbs more weight than his last run.

Has never performed well with today`s weight of 9-07.

Was he a form horse today ????

Any comments would be very much appreciated.

My comment on Namroud's performance was not in the slightest addressed to you. Determined's post suggested that he had not seen the race but had heard it was a close run thing. As I had seen it, I was merely offering him my observation of the final stages.

Mtoto

For the avoidance of doubt, what "Roushayd" examples would you like me to comment upon?

re Tromos etc, as I said in my earlier post I am far from certain I'm right.

Determined

re Crow Wood, not for me, for the reason you give.

Fulham,

Helpful as ever. Thanks.

** I see old Dumaran takes his chance at Epsom tomorrow. Balding, I see runs 3 and Eddery takes the ride on `D`.

If the heavens open on top of the watering then `D` will have his ground and could run well.

From a VDW angle he cannot be a form horse tomorrow ?? but in my opinion Mystic Man is in form and is the class/form horse.

Cheers,

I do enjoy reading these VDW posts. (I`ve said elsewhere I have a degree of interest)

My only real complaint is I have to ask my third but one next door neighbour to bring her 4yo round to translate investors posts for me AND my fifth but one neighbour in the other direction (who`s a boring sod) to explain the punch line in Determined`s jokes.

In regard to Namroud,at Chester, these are the ones that cause me difficulty, being pretty unexposed,I am often left in doubt.
Haydock 4.15,Crow Wood, now this one stood out to me today,as did Bobayaro in the 2.55 Perth,a case of another false fav here.

God give me strength!

This humour free zone would not exist if it were not a parasite on the back of the rest of Gummy`s threads.

Just have a look at where the compulsive VDW poster contributes elsewhere on the site. Phuking nowhere.

Gummy makes a point of telling newbies they must post an introductory message or be executed. When was the last time one of you wankers replied to such a message or indeed welcomed a new member.

Buck your idea`s up !

    111,
I have the feeling that they are all digging in for the stormy blast that looks to be coming.
With Nessies ratings and the fact that no one has denied his observation about Guests 'secret' all hell could break loose at any time now.
Now that their grail is being dragged into the daylight they dont seem quite so cocksure about either its uniqueness or its beauty. Infact they probably have the dawning suspicion that it looks rather like the canteen tea-urn.

I`ve drank plenty of tea out of tea-urns. It was always wet, weak and only just warm.

You were right to doubt Namroud. The next stage is to ask yourself why.

T.C.,
Hi, how was the walkabout?

Fulham,

What I'm trying to say is how many of the Roushayd examples are c/form horses the way you work? I can see Roushayd himself is, having the highest ability rating in the race. How many others are also highest in their races?

Determined,

I make Crow Wood a Roushayd horse. The weight made no difference to me the only reason I didn't back it was the price. VDW backed horses that had to carry 15lbs more than in their last race. I don't expect for one moment you expected a different answer from me. I also made Namroud the BEST HORSE in the race yesterday, once again no bet at the price.

Johnd,

I'm sorry, but I really don't think anyone (that knows the answers) plays mind games. If they play any type of game it is to try and give clues without giving too much away. I challenge many of the posts on this thread, and I have never had the impression anyone has tried to put me down. I have no intention of going into detail on this thread, but I will try to help anyone. I think there are a few that can confirm that. I think it was JIB that suggested I was only tolerated on the thread to give it some credence of being fair. I have to say that may be his opinion, but I have never felt it to be true.

I would like to ask you a question.
This is a serious question.
It is also a VERY, VERY, important question.

The question is this:
When you say you will not bet because the price is too low, is this because you have found that backing horses that fit all your criteria do not win enough to make profit below a certain price range?

Its very interesting, because i have found that horsesABOVE a certain price range do not make money. (Mind you I am talking NON-HCPS)

Boozer has pointed out that Nessie's discovery in Investor's selection is incorrect, on the day that Nessie posted about the lengths Investor's selections didn't fit the pattern, even on some previous days. If I am wrong about this then I have no idea what "lengths" are being discussed. I'm surprised Investor hasn't commented, it's hardly in the spirit of helpfulness.
