This all began when JIB's account of leaving England and arriving in Brazil seemed a little too far fetched to be completely true. JIB's enmity towards me has existed since I had the temerity to comment on this fact following an initial slagging off of me for some other unprovoked reason. Since then he has continued to take umbrage and attack me whenever possible. Just recently he has contacted Three Legs via email, asked him to challenge me on this point and has then introduced his "photo" - as if that will prove everything he has told us is true. Is he in Brazil? Of that I have no doubt. Is he a liar? Of that I have no doubt either. some Proof was requested and so here it is. I would refer people to JIB’s “Statajack-an analysis” posting of October 12th 2002 which can be found on the “Thrash it out” thread, an attempt at character assassination made all the more amusing by its hypocrisy and one which spoke volumes. About the state of mind of its author. The post contains a number of lies that I shall now list for the benefit of anyone interested. Firstly comes his claim that jib read all my posts up to that time to enable him to come up with his so-called character analysis. I must admit that I was shocked that someone would be so sad as to wade through nearly 200 posts in order to vilify someone that they had never even seen or met so in my reply I asked him if he could confirm this claim. If he had genuinely looked at all my posts he would have seen that four horses were named before the event, Barracuda, High Chapparal, Kyllachy and Mario Marini. (There was also my assertion that Lewis would beat Tyson on the “off Topic” thread but as Lewis was not a horse I’ll let that little omission go). Lie number 1 proven then. The second lie was of course in saying I’d only ever mentioned one horse pre the off. Again, if he’d actually read my posts he would know that by making this statement he was propagating a blatant lie in order to attack me. So, either he hadn’t read all my posts in which case he is lying or he had read them but chose to ignore them, in which case he is lying also. Number 2 proven then. The third lie comes when he mocks my “daring selection of Barracuda at odds on at Cheltenham”. A brief check for Barracuda on the Racing Post website search facility will tell anyone that the horse went of at 13/8 which is some way from odds on. In fact that price is far enough away from odds on to negate any possibility of a genuine mistake on his part but as jib was by now warming to his theme, why let something as unimportant as the truth get in the way? That’s lie number 3 proven too. Fourthly and most hilariously comes the line “I do not like to think unkindly of fellow members” -do me a favour! If this were true his posts to this board would number considerably fewer than the current amount of 1192 as he seems to be “thinking unkindly” about quite a few fellow members on a lot of them. In goes number four, that’s the yankee up! Well, there we have it. I have proved beyond any reasonable doubt that JIB has resorted to lies on at least four separate occasions in the space of a single post in order to attack the character of another member. Only the terminally naïve (and of course three legs) are likely to be stupid enough to believe that the remaining 1191 posts from this person contain only the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
