Walter, if the 2nd donkey besides having an extra stone on its back also has to carry two lbs of extra muscle I would most certainly prefer this 2nd heavier animal. Before you can even begin to hazard a speculation on its consequences you have first to know what sort of weight you are dealing with. And if weight carried is to be of any use whatsoever surely the bodyweight of the animal has to be monitored first?

And somebody (preferably DNA trained) should be weighing the dumps left steaming in the parade ring.

On the sphere and cylinders 1; I respect the relevence of the terms and proposition 2 but I find myself stuck in proposition 3 at the stage of: "ST:CN<MK:LK" After all before that the bases, of the triangles, hadn't come into the discussion. Naturally "ST:CN<A:B" becomes a mystery to me and I lose track of the arguement.

Lets keep things simple a trainer can only train the horses under his care in so many ways, he may train for speed , stamina, and or endurance, what else?, i.e quickened, stayed on , or kept on, other form references relate to different aspects of the training patterns that are relevant to each particular race in which a horse participates.
If i was a trainer lol, & if barneys training methods were to be believed i would make sure i had two work riders i.e stan laurel & ollie hardy one to enduce stamina in the horses work the other to enduce speed, but how would i know if one didn`t counter the other come race day i might even be in a catch 22 position lol..

I read a good report earlier on the aspects of increaising the fast twitch muscle fibre content of the muscle as opposed to the slow twitch content.

It is possible to physically alter the proportion of said fibres in muscles.

Remember rocky running up and down that beach in rocky 2.

he won in the end.

Barney, thank goodness it was just a blip on G's behalf as I've just printed out all your posts for December for research purposes and changing your ID would have meant doing it all again!

What is the significance of the eggtimer?

Judging by the content of very recent posts there obviously ain't too much going on in the racing world at the moment and the number of people looking in on the forum at the mo. would indicate either everone is too skint too go down the pub tonight or they are well loaded and are all sipping thier Pimms in the sallon bar, tapping away on their laptops!!!!

mr EPI is that the missing link

Wink

Barney, you may only train a muscle twitch in one way at one time & if payday was fast approaching i would as a trainer concentrate on the speed side as long as the the class & endurance element had already been taken in to the equation, in relation to the field or opposition to be faced whether it be in the training aspect or by other means.

When I was 11 years old, as a school kid, naturally I was busy on my diverse affaires(?) watching soccer games, smashing traffic lights and such, you remember those days when you get back and your mother listens to your enthusiastic fabrications whilst stuffing you with those treats that you're still vainly asking you wife to knock up for you when your results come in. Well one day my sister interupted my meal by saying "Peter's fallen over", sure I left my meal and went to the other room and watched my father kick out his last breaths in front of me.

the egg timer is for a laugh until i find a new hotdog.

get the books and find out your own answers, mine are fairly unconventional as you may have gathered.

If you must read posts read guests not mine, also there were lots of good posts early on by reference point and lee I used to like bensams as well dont know where he is now though. Fulhams also have lots of relevant facts.

Statajack

In your "Walter Mitty" post to JiB on xmas eve you claimed his account of how he ended up/ arrived in Brasil was a work of fiction.

Do you have any evidence of this? If so, post it up, lets all see it.

JIB has asked me to post this for Statajack.

Dead Or Alive!!

Statajack, you have called me a liar. I enclose a photo of myself taken in 1990 on the banks of the river Uraricoeira, NW Roraima, 300KM from the nearest civilization, so far indeed not even a river of that size is not on the map. Myself and the other goldminers who lived and worked there at that time used to spend 3 or 4 hours twice a day on the bottom of that river, 10 meters down in the pitch black cold water, sucking up the river bed to our barges where the gold was extracted. You might like to consider that if you were to call any of the gentlemen who were to be found at that time and place "liars", you would not get off nearly as easily as you do here.

PS. That is not a dictionary hanging from my shoulder.
