    A Sad Attention Seeker Speaks....
    Moantoto,
Thank you for unmasking me. Looking through your roll of my fellow conspirators I can see how unlucky you have been to have fallen in with such a degenerate crew.
Life can be terribly unfair at times, there you are as happy as pie telling tales to your chums of the most magnificent betting method in the world and along come all these psychopaths who have the impertinence to imply you are the funny ones.
Still I'm sure your new forum will serve you better, afterall if anyone makes any criticisms of your endeavours there you can soon get rid of him.
I imagine you wont be posting anymore so I will take this opportunity to offer a couple of thoughts for you take to your new home. Firstly whilst the internet can aide ones way through life, it is not a substitute for it. And secondly if you make it a substitute and then start to exclude from it all opposition to your beliefs you will end up no happier than the Khymer Rouge.

As you (and IIIs) rightly discern, some senses of humour are different (subtler) than others, a point clearly lost on our Brasilian and Australian fellow members for whom, like Americans, fun seems only to be "fun" when it comes with capital letters, lights and bells. (Though having just seen the title of JIB's last post I may do him an injustice: self-deprecatory comment is one of the subtler form of English humour.)

Nessie

For anyone to post a reply to your question would be discourteous to Gummy. Had you attended to one of the matters to which our Australian fellow member refers, however, the means would have been - and could yet be - available for a reply to be given without such discourtesy.

    Fulham,
Whilst my personal taste in fun maybe a little childish, it does not involve the suffering of my fellow man nor the exploitation of his fragility.
PS why dont you just tell Nessie to email you for the new forum address? Do you think that by using vague terms you can really occult your intention, or does the fear of discovery mean you must first prepare a defence of ambiguity?

Actually, it does exactly that. You adopt the appearance of erudition to seek to humiliate members with no pretention to grammatic or linguistic proficiency whose experience and capabilities - certainly in selecting winners and probably in life as a whole - plainly exceed your own.

I may use not dissimilar techniques, but only to deflate the educationally pretentious or, for a different reason, when dealing with psychopaths.

Dr Fulham,

Have you got a humour thread, and is it still blank?

So Mtoto is a sound judge of character, particularly the electronic ones created by saddoes who lack pesrsonal charisma and have to create one for themselves on a website.
You deserve each other!

As you have chosen to start this particular ball rolling , may I return the compliment by analysing some of your closet friends?
Beginning with your goodself, a self appointed professional gambler who has yet to show enough accuracy to pick his nose, and certainly without the intelligence to yet form a coherent posting.
Fulham
Another self=professed expert, who recently covered himself in glory, ( On another website ), by, before the race, naming 8 horses in 2 races without getting near a winner. As on this board, he contrived to change his mind after the race, and tell his admiring sycophants that he had missed out the real c/f horse; with the most beautifully appropiate name of Irony.
Barney.
As far as I am aware, the only person who crossed the line enough to get banned from Gummy's board, and certainly a dreamer of mammoth proportions.
Crock
Another 'psued' who would have us believe he is/was a professional gambler, yet the truth is he made his living by selling booklets/ speed figures at the races.
Determined.
Maybe the only one that could tell he difference between truth and fantasy, but, unfortunately, gullible enough to fall for most of the bullshit.
Guest
The archetypal saddoe, who tried to convince us all that he understood VDW, that he moved in the circles of people really in the know, yet was found wanting virtually every time his knowledge was put to the test.
Statajack.
Another member of your syndicate that was responsible for some of the worst excesses of abuse on this board, yet is invited with open arms by the devious one.

A motley crew you have assembled by your subterfuge, but few of them would know the truth if it bit them!

I think the "swamp", as you term it, has been "drained" fairly effectively, don't you?

Johnd

Thanks. Your last post was most helpful.

Your last post was nearly amusing. But pause a moment to consider why a board might need a separate "Humour" (or for that matter a "Slagging & Drunkards") thread.

For the avoidance of doubt, my response to Johnd above is genuinely meant, and honestly not a wind up or a piss-take.

Dr Fulham,

I`ve taken your advice and paused to consider why a humour thread might be necessary. Reading johnd`s summary of morgue personalities I`ve concluded you are indeed quite right. It would be totally superfluous, completely redundant and a waste of space.

Perhaps a little reciprocity is apprpopriate here. My advice to you is, the next time you go to the hat stand be more careful not to walk off with Mtoto`s hat, you may find it comfortable but the style is dull.

Or, less wordily, quite unnecessary (ditto for a "Slagging and Drunkards" thread).

I'd far rather wear what you perceive as Mtoto's "dull" hat than what you might feel is the more flamboyant headgear of a good many others. To me, it's substance (and values) that matter.

Have a nice day.

    Substance and values
As our psychoanalyst will probably confirm (but in a verbose manner which he hopes will be mistaken for intellect) a wrongdoer quickly transforms himself into a victim, first in his own mind, and then in the eyes of his peers.
With the exception of Barney who chose to go mad on another part of the board and then blackmail the proprietor no one from either point of view has been banned, nor the VDW thread closed.
The reason the VDW supporters club have run off and now try to claim they have been victimized is because they foolishly tried to deny they werent deceiving us on the 80% thread.
Everyone else except themselves is to blame, from Gummy (Moantoto has decided to be brave here and have a go at the boss) downwards we are guilty of some foul pogrom of persecution peculiar to the insane, ignorant, unbalanced and uncivilised. (Fulham forgets he gets his fun posing as an analyst and giving public diagnoses to people who if his assessment was correct most certainly would not be helped by this unprofessional treatment).
The VDWers acknowleged defeat when they flew away. They must now learn two things; to endure the bitter taste without complaint, and that unbaised reflection is the essential prerequisite for most of lifes endeavours.
