Interesting race. I think both Barney and Crock were able to pinpoint why FS was not the good thing it appeared at first glance. Illusion in form anyone?

So you got Bangalore did you?
What's the point of telling us that after the event?
Why not name some of these cracking bets before the race?
Only for a while of course, cos you don't want to give away your secrets,
yum yum,

i do better than that swish,

last week i tried to give examples of how everyone can find them for themselves.

i am not putting them on a plate ive done that enough already. if a point to the race its not good enough- even if there are only two in it.

if i am asked about specific races i always try to help.

bangalor was the c/f horse and had exactlyty the same factors as sophisticat. thats why it won.

i am not having a challenge either.

i have nothing to prove to anyone.

ps

HOW ARE YOU FINDING LIFE WITH THE NEW SF RATINGS ???

Barney,
Flight sequence was in the wrong place at the wrong time? There was me thinking the reasons it wasnt the supposed good thing was down to the 21k race it won being in reality little better than a class D race coupled with a lack of ratings support. You've lost me!

Investor,
Those were my thoughts on the matter. Barney appears to have a different angle based on something else.

Further to the previous, can you explain how Postmark ratings fall into the catagory of "objective"?

Epiglotis,
They dont, they are "subjective" and based on opinion. The same as your cloak and dagger thread.

Hi Barney,

I find it very interesting that you could have Bangalore as the C/F horse on Saturday. To do so means classing Archduke Ferdinand and Fantasy Hill as 'out of form'. Archduke may be contentious but I'm not sure how you could class Fantasy Hill as being out of form after his Chester win. Granted 2 miles at Newcastle is obviously not Fantasy's trip but I don't think you can crab the form.

Please don't get me wrong Barney, I don't have a problem with Bangalore being a bet, merely with him being identified as the C/F horse. This appeared to me to be a race with negatives against the C/F horse that would allow Bangalore to be considered a bet.

Cheers

It's amazing what you can make fit once you know the result.

I had every intension of staying away for a while but your question on Fantasy Hill is a very good one.

I had a decent ante post bet on Mr Dinos so I am not talking through my pocket. If I had dutched 2 in the race the 2nd horse would have been Bangalore.

I considered F.Hill a form horse and anybody who didn`t would have been wrong. That said, ask yourself what F.Hill was trying to do in comparison to `B`.

IN MY OPINION F.Hill off a 7 lbs higher h`cap mark plus the 13 lbs extra actual wgt` he had to carry compared to his last run COULD NOT WIN.

Compare that to Bangalore. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I`m very frustrated at not dutching `B` with Mr Dinos.

**** over to the experts ! ****

Cheers,
