Hope you and yours are well and happy.

I looked at the 3.15 Cartmel and didn't find anything so you've surprised me with Caitriona's Choice, Flahives First and Ivanoph. I think the last 2 are from a different pattern.

I would have thought Javelot D'or was closer to the mark.

If you don't mind I'll be in touch.

All the best

Mtoto,

Do you think tintaagel was rejected on consistency?

Crock,

re tintagel

VDW said that he bought the sporting chronicle for the races to come section, this section contains the last race no etc. Do you know if it was the same format then?

Do you think that VDW could have evaluated the race from this perspective and used the form book over a couple of days and not even seen the sporting life?

Barney,

I was going through the examples try to find a race were the c/form method didn't show the selection as the bet. I only have the Sporting Life photo copy for this race, and could see no way Tintagel wouldn't be the c/form horse.

Following the logic used by Fulham I could see no way Tintagel wasn't the first c/form, and I made it hard for Connaught Bridge to be the second c/form horse. Depending on how far Senorita Poquito was beaten in her last race I would have thought she would have been a form horse.

Fulham says he isn't worried about the consistency rating. I am still sure it is an important component as so many selections were consistent.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the more I go through theses examples there are plenty of selections I wouldn't back today. I still think the Roushayd method is by far the best VDW came up with.

Chaz,

Glad you have sorted your problem, keep in touch. The e-mail problem will be sorted SOON (I hope) Confused

Be Lucky

Why do you think the 'Roushayd Method' is different, and not an extension of what he had already said?

Johnd,

I don't like this relativity thing. With the Roushayd method the horse has proven it's self in the same, or higher class. There is no doubt it can act in the class, it isn't at times the best of a bad bunch.

Ok Desert Hero had proven it could act on the course, but as far as I can see he had never competed successfully in that class. The same can be said about many of VDW's other selections, Connaught Bridge being just one.

Hope you had a good evening at Pontefract on friday, and Boozer of course! Eek

Be Lucky

Hi all,
I have, like everyone else been reading Nessie's postings and it certainly seems as if he has found the key that works for him.
I would like to ask how do you decide which races to analyse or do you look at them all and then select the one where everything fits?
I'm still mystified as to how you arrive at your percentages but I suppose that will come in time.
As you say this VDW is a goldmine if you get it right, and you seem to get it right more than most at the moment. Congratulations!!!
See you soon, Mike.

I would argue with you about the drinking-I am sitting with a newly opened bottle of Stella-lovely after an 11 hr shift
