I thought Follow The Flow was best but not worth a bet.

Dr Fulham,

Regretfully, I missed that one but thank god somebody on the opposition front bench can seize an opportunity, then more importantly deliver a retort with some authority. There`s precious few that can.

Much of the RP paper today would have you believe the Derby winner was not so much the horse but more the jockey.

Fulham/Determined,

Thanks for the replies re Saturday racing.
Re the Diomed if I was betting i doubt I would have been drave enough to go against the C/F horse and at best would have dutched them.
Have finished my look at the 85 king George and Pegwell's Mackeson and will say again that without the help of yourselves and Guest it would have taken an age to unravel them.
Now moving onto the "Boxing Day 6" in the hope that the lack of the 80/81 formbook does not hinder progress.

Thanks again.

Guest,
Good to see you posting pearls of wisdom again.

All the best

Graham

And should Gummys forum last a thousand years,
posters will still say,
investor was the worst.

I`ve been dusting the WSC volumes of WW2 I inherited from my old man.

Investor,

Just gone through the race that Wild Spice fell in. I see Wild Spice got fairly close to Bobayaro last time out. So then, how would VDW gauge how good that run was? Which horse was the best horse in that race? Bobayaro, with a rating of 59 I would say. And using the same procedure shows us that he was in form. Was there anything in today’s race that was in form, which was rated as high as Bobayaro was going in to that race? No there wasn’t. Fairly simple but I’m sure you get the main points.

The person that works this way is someone that I go to the races with on a regular basis during the NH season, and incidentally he does no better than I do, to which he now admits. Quite often we select the same horses, and sometimes we’re on different ones. Sometimes his selection will beat mine, and sometimes mine will beat his. Sometimes I bet in races that he doesn’t, whilst there are other times that he’ll have a bet in races that I don’t. Neither of us are wrong, and neither of us are right.

I thought that I’d enquire as to how he saw the Wild Spice race this afternoon and so I’ve just spoken to him on the phone, and yes he confirmed that he backed the horse. Oh dear I said, and he laughed!!

Last time I spoke to him we did back the same horse that day, Naahy on the 21st May. I didn’t back it against Rimrod though, not sure about him?

So, in short, yes you were being presumptuous when you suggested that I should seek some knowledge of what I’m talking about before I make my remark. I don’t need to go over 555 pages to no that the method of VDW is nothing special. Thanks.

Isn`t it sad that dim people think that simply attaining a certain age is insulting. Or that old people are apparently worthless.

The chances are with me being 53 I`m quite a bit younger than investors dad, what does that make him, what does that make his grandad?

There`s no insult intended (from me) to either of those gentlemen, it`s a question. Perhaps two cells would care to answer.

It is difficult to explain at times,The factor is evident in the last 3 runs,Some of the time. What has got to be remembered is that a horse may have consistent form but it isn't always evident in the last 3 runs,Remember you have to evaluate a horses whole career. Smile

investor, I read page 23 of the post as well. Wasn't it a very consistent horse as VDW pointed out?
